Whenever there is talk of the UR airlines, major hubs are always mentioned. One such name is that of northwestern airlines. Until now, most of the us airlines have been offering either chartered options or pre-booked ones. Now we have the northwest flights to take us to whatever destination we are willing for. On the northwestern airlines, you can fly domestic economy, international economy, domestic first class as well as world business class. The airline has 3 major hubs in america and is world’s 6th largest airline. This categorization has been done on the basis of number of scheduled domestic flights. The parent company, northwestairlines, has other subsidiaries operating by the names of northwest airlink,  pinnacle and compass airline.

This airline basically came into being in 1926 by the name of Northwest airways. Like the current trend then, the primary focus of the airline was transferring the us post mail. The maiden route was between minneapolis and chicago.

The northwestairlines also hold the credit to fly the first commercial passenger flight to japan. The flights to japan were branded as the northwest oriental airlines, with the company name remaining northwestern airlines effectively.
Since then it has been serving the community unconditionally, effective in its service, bent on providing a quality experience. The northwest airlines, or nw air in short, realizes the importance of providing an experience worth remembering in any business. This is also one of the reasons why the hoi polloi is preferring to fly with the northwestairlines.

In the recent past, the northwest air has been coming up with a number of new deals which consist of the following salient features:

    New Boeing 787 in the nw air fleet
    New paint scheme and logo
    Youngest trans-Atlantic fleet
    Replacement of McDonnell Douglas DC-9 aircraft

All of this is a part of its long overdue long haul fleet renewal program.

This has been openly appreciated by the clientele of nw airlines. Unlike other classes, the nw air has been keen in developing new business strategies and loves experimenting. The northwest air is willing to do anything in order to appease its customers.

Most of its flights have collaborations with Japan Airlines, Jet airways, Alaskan airlines, China airlines as well as many others. It is also a part of the deal offered by the ‘Worldperks’.

Majority prefers work with nw air which is why almost all of the travel agencies offer deals including partial or complete flying exclusively with the northwestern airlines. The worldperks offer free flights to its frequent passengers and the northwest flights were among the first ones to willingly become a part of their deals. The record is excellent too, with the last fatal accident back in the 1990. There has been interesting incident with the nw airlines. Back in 2004, there had been a mistaken landing at a US airforce base in ellsworth where the destination in actual was a nearby airport. The only action ordered was that the passengers close their windows as long as the flight remains there.

The northwest flights have also had the honor to be designated as the official north pacific carrier for the US in the world war II. During the world war, the nw air carried military equipment from US to Alaska. Not many other us airlines share this glory. This is also one of the reasons why prestige and northwest air go hand in hand. Over time, northwest air has also been modifying its system, which shows in its fleet and renewed policies.
