Fernandina Beach is a city located in Nassau County in the state of United States on Amelia Island. The region was first occupied by the Timucuan Indian tribe. Being "Isle of 8 Flags", it had flags over it since 1562. It is the only metropolis in the United States that has flown eight different state-run flags.
According to census 2000, its population was stated as 10,549. As of 2004, the population as then measured by the U.S. Census Bureau that was 11,241. It is the region place of Nassau County.
Geographically speaking Fernandina Beach is situated at 30°40′10″N and 81°27′42″W. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city possesses whole area of 27.8 km² that carries all land. Demographically speaking, 2000 consensus says that there were 10,549 citizens, 4,525 homes and 2,941 family units living in the city. The population thickness was 984.4 people per square mile. There were 5,588 accommodation units at an average thickness of 201.3/km². The ethnic structure of the city was:
