Not all airlines have an in flight magazine as posh and elite as that of xl airline. The magazine is called ‘Altitude’  and indeed has been named aptly.

The xl leisure group began xl airways as a chartered and scheduled airline with its base at Crawley. Today the airline has bought out its shares from the leisure group. The excel airways has been the recipient of the best chartered airline award for 2004, 2005 AND 2006, consecutively. The world leading chartered airline award of 2007 also goes to xl air. It has received commendations for being on time.

The magazine Altitude is basically about the experience one has , flying with the xl airlines. The celebrity interviews are a regular feature as every one enjoys a small dose of entertainment from the giant itself, i.e. Hollywood.

These features have been written by those people basically and contains information on type of locations, properties, the rates, the packages, the potential and the benefits etc.

There may be the instructions to sew curtains, make the perfect wood table, re do your kitchen, clean your bathroom etc. Then there maybe the ultimate dream of the house wives, the recipes. The recipes have a tendency to be read more aboard the xl airlines. Females read them to make them, and males read them to cut the time.  Most of the recipes are that of gourmet food and indeed require all the attention of the reader.

Then there is the feedback form, a feat a lot of travelers on the excel airlines make use of, and that has led to the recurrence of gourmet recipes on most of the editions of the Altitude.
