The Greek Chandris Group incepted this company in the year 1989. Their trademark is the alphabet “X” that is imprinted on all of their ships. This is a Greek symbol which means the word chi, chi for Chandris the founders. The company is based in Florida in United States. In the year 1997 the celebrity cruises line merged with the Royal Caribbean International and came to be known as “Royal Caribbean Cruises Limited”.

Eventually they started their own lines and began initiating their first ships after the merger. Their first ship was Century. Then came their second vessel which was named Galaxy. This was followed by Mercury. They had economical packages for their passengers which featured entertaining and fantastic traveling deals. These deals attracted several buyers and passengers which contributed immensely to their success, owing to which they launched Millennium, Constellation, Summit and Infinity in the year 2000 and 2002. These ships were more advanced and sophisticated then their predecessors.

This package was very successful due to the fact that the expedition was carried out on a small ship that catered to special consumers and toured the surrounding areas and also the Galapagos Islands. In addition the rooms in the ships are very spacious and contain television sets and basic requirements and wants; food is eaten at daily buffets.
