There are various adventurous and thrilling slides in the park. Summit plummet is one of them. It is 120 feet high. The speed of person sliding down the summit plummet is estimated to be 55 miles per hr. the slider then falls down into a big heated water pool. This is a very thrilling ride and gives its riders a feeling they never had before. Some people even race on these slides and come down the two parallel slides. The length of these slides is 230 feet. Racers go down on these slides in their tubes and emerge only seconds before hitting the water.
Another big attraction at blizzard beach is Slush gusher. Though this ride is not as daring and thrilling as the Summit plummet but is never the less very entertaining and enjoyable. This slide is 90 feet high and comes down the Mount gushmore which is an artificially created mountain at blizzard beach. This slide is not straight but has two humps upon which people slide and then come cruising down into a big pool of water. Teamboat Springs is another very ideal 1200 feet long water slide. On this ride, 3 to 6 people can sit in a raft and cruise down through lots of twists and turns on the way. Various small waterfalls also come in the way. Cross Country Creek is another ride that should not be missed. This is a ride throughout the park sitting in an inner tube. This is a slower much relaxing journey which shall provide you with real meditation and a way to cruise through the entire park and have a look at all going around.
Blizzard beach is open daily during the summers, open hours are 9 am-8 pm, Disney also features Disney Extra Magic Hours during these months by which every day one of the parks opens one hour earlier than the time and closes 3 hrs later than the usual timings.
